It uses lower voltages at higher currents, up to 20V at 7A, which Qualcomm says helps to minimize heat generation. This should improve comfort for users charging while gaming or multitasking, while also supporting better long-term&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.batteryone.co\/\">battery<\/a>&nbsp;health by reducing stress on the cell during recharges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The new standard maintains the same peak speeds as Quick Charge 5, but with improved thermal performance. Importantly, it is backwards compatible with nearly all previous Quick Charge versions, excluding only Quick Charge 1.0 devices.
