That means they\u2019ll receive Android 16, 17, 18, and 19, considering they launched with Android 15.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/fdn.gsmarena.com\/imgroot\/news\/25\/03\/oneplus-13-13r-four-os-updates\/popup\/-660\/gsmarena_002.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The confusion started earlier today when a OnePlus US PR rep mistakenly suggested that the out-of-the-box Android 15 would count as one of the four updates. That didn\u2019t make much sense, and thankfully, OnePlus has now clarified that this is NOT the case.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Beyond the OS updates, security patches will continue for six years, which was also part of the initial commitment. While some brands are pushing for longer update cycles, OnePlus argues that four major updates is the right balance for its devices.
