The Nubia Z80 Ultra is the brand’s latest flagship smartphone, featuring hardware and design upgrades over its predecessor. It is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset and equipped with a 7,200 mAh silicon-carbon battery supporting 90 W wired and 80 W wireless charging. The device was launched in China and will receive a global release on November 6.

The Z80 Ultra features a 6.85-inch BOE X10 AMOLED display with a 1.5K resolution (1,216 × 2,688 pixels) and a 144 Hz refresh rate. It continues to use an under-display 16 MP front camera, allowing for an uninterrupted viewing surface.

The rear camera system includes a 35 mm equivalent main lens with a custom 1/1.3-inch Omnivision 990 sensor, a 64 MP periscope telephoto camera with a 1/2-inch sensor and 3x optical zoom, and an 18 mm equivalent ultrawide camera with a 1/1.55-inch sensor. AI-based photography tools offer automatic color profile recommendations, with manual adjustment options available.
An optional photography kit priced at CNY 669 ($95) adds a T-mount for external lenses and a cold shoe for accessories such as microphones or lights.
The device offers up to 16 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 1 TB of UFS 4.1 storage. Cooling is managed by a composite liquid metal solution and a 3D Ice Steel vapor chamber for heat dissipation.
Available finishes include Light White, Phantom Black, and a Van Gogh-inspired Starry Sky Collector’s Edition. Prices range from CNY 4,999 ($701) for the 12 GB/512 GB variant to CNY 5,999 ($842) for the 16 GB/1 TB Starry Sky Collector’s Edition.
