Samsung Galaxy F70e 5G set for February 9 launch with leather-textured design

Samsung has confirmed that the Galaxy F70e 5G will be officially unveiled on February 9, 2026. Ahead of the launch, the company has published a teaser page that reveals several key details about this mid-range smartphone, including an unusual design choice for Samsung: a leather-textured rear panel.

The device will be offered in two color options, Limelight Green and Spotlight Blue. It features Samsung’s familiar flat frame design, complete with the raised “Key Island” on the right side that houses the power and volume buttons. However, the wide bottom bezel and the waterdrop-style notch give the front a look more reminiscent of entry-level phones.

Battery capacity remains a strong point, with Samsung confirming a 6,000mAh unit. On the back, a pill-shaped camera module contains a 50MP main camera and a 2MP depth sensor aimed at improving portrait-mode bokeh. For selfies, the Galaxy F70e 5G relies on an 8MP front-facing camera.

The display supports a 120Hz refresh rate, but its peak brightness tops out at 800 nits. This relatively modest brightness suggests the use of an IPS panel rather than OLED. Samsung has not yet disclosed details about the screen resolution or the processor powering the device.

The Galaxy F70e 5G will debut first in India. For now, Samsung has not confirmed whether the phone will be released in additional markets.
