Samsung Expands Galaxy AI to 22 Languages with the Addition of Filipino and Gujarati

Since its launch in early 2024, Samsung’s Galaxy AI has continued to expand its multilingual capabilities. The platform supported 16 languages as of April 2024 and reached 20 by December.

Samsung has now added two more languages — Filipino and Gujarati — bringing the total to 22. Both are available as downloadable language packs through the Settings app. Filipino is spoken by approximately 87 million people, while Gujarati has around 62.5 million speakers.

The new language packs were developed in collaboration with Samsung Research centers in Indonesia and India. With this update, Galaxy AI now supports languages spoken by nearly 74% of the global population, or about 5.9 billion people.

Samsung reports that over 70% of Galaxy S25 users regularly use Galaxy AI and Google Gemini, with 47% relying on AI features extensively in daily use. The company aims to expand Galaxy AI’s reach to over 400 million devices by the end of this year, following its milestone of 200 million devices in 2024.
