Asus has disclosed the full specifications of its newly announced ROG Strix GS-BE7200, a Wi-Fi 7 router designed for stable wireless and wired performance.

The router operates on the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands, delivering speeds of up to 1,376 Mbit/s and 5,764 Mbit/s respectively. While it does not support the 6 GHz band, it includes key technologies such as beamforming, OFDMA, and MU-MIMO for improved efficiency and reliability. On the wired side, it offers five 2.5 Gbit/s Ethernet ports—one for the modem and four for devices like PCs or NAS systems. However, this interface could become a limitation when paired with high-speed NAS setups using SSD storage.

Design-wise, the GS-BE7200 follows Asus’ gaming aesthetic, with RGB lighting and bold branding, despite relying on six internal antennas. Functionality is equally comprehensive: users can create multiple networks for IoT devices or guests, apply parental controls, and configure router-level VPN protection for all connected traffic. Management is available through both a web interface and a mobile app.
Asus has not yet announced pricing or release details.
