New “Caffeine Tracker” App Brings Blood-Caffeine Estimates to Garmin Smartwatches

Garmin already offers basic lifestyle tracking for metrics such as caffeine consumption, but a new third-party app provides more detailed insights, including estimated blood-caffeine levels. Called Caffeine Tracker, the app was developed by Ondřej Božek and includes a widget for quick access. It supports a wide range of Garmin smartwatches, including many Forerunner and Fenix models.

Users can log caffeinated drinks such as coffee or cola directly from their watch, without needing a smartphone. Based on body weight and caffeine’s biological half-life, the app estimates current blood-caffeine concentration and displays the data in both a simple overview and a detailed chart.

Caffeine Tracker is free to use, with optional premium features available through a one-time purchase of €4.90 (about $5.80). The paid version adds adjustable caffeine half-life settings, advanced daily statistics, and a customizable lower caffeine threshold to help avoid late-day intake that could disrupt sleep.
