Alongside the Xiaomi 17 Ultra and the Xiaomi 17 Ultra Leica Edition, Xiaomi has also introduced the new Xiaomi Watch 5 in China.
The Xiaomi Watch 5 comes in a 47mm case and features a 1.54-inch AMOLED display with a 480 × 480 resolution and up to 1,500 nits of brightness. It is powered by the Qualcomm W5 chipset and paired with a 930mAh battery, which Xiaomi claims can deliver up to six days of battery life in performance mode.
Running HyperOS 3, the Watch 5 supports 5ATM water resistance and includes standard health tracking features such as heart rate and blood oxygen monitoring.

It also adds ECG functionality, along with an integrated EMG sensor capable of measuring hand muscle activity. This allows the watch to recognize specific finger and hand gestures, including pinching fingers together or clenching a fist. According to Xiaomi, these gestures can be used to answer calls, dismiss alarms, or remotely trigger the camera on a connected smartphone.
In terms of pricing and configurations, the Xiaomi Watch 5 starts at around $285 with a rubber strap. An eSIM-enabled version paired with a leather band is priced at approximately $330. Buyers can also opt for a 3D-printed titanium band for an additional $110. Color options include black or silver cases with black or green rubber straps, as well as light blue or classic brown leather bands.
