HP is preparing to launch the Eliteboard G1a as part of its business-focused lineup. At first glance, it looks like a standard full-size QWERTY keyboard with a number pad, but inside it houses an entire Windows PC. This includes an AMD Ryzen processor, memory, storage, along with built-in microphones and speakers.
Once connected to a compatible monitor via USB-C, the Eliteboard G1a powers on and functions as a complete Windows desktop system. The keyboard features two USB-C ports, allowing users to connect peripherals or supply power if the monitor does not support power delivery. HP will also offer a version with a built-in battery for added flexibility.

While the concept may seem unconventional compared to a laptop, HP positions the Eliteboard G1a for business environments where portability and shared workstations matter. Employees can carry a compact keyboard containing their entire PC and simply plug into available monitors at different desks.
HP says the Eliteboard G1a is scheduled to launch in March, though pricing has not yet been announced.
