Poco M7 Plus 5G Launched in India with 7,000 mAh Battery

Poco has introduced the M7 Plus 5G in India, the latest addition to its M series and successor to the M6 Plus, which launched in August 2024.

The device features a 7,000 mAh silicon-carbon battery supporting 33W fast charging and 18W reverse charging. Poco claims the M7 Plus is the thinnest smartphone with a 7,000 mAh battery, with a thickness of 8.4 mm.

The phone is equipped with a 6.9-inch Full HD+ LCD panel with a 144Hz refresh rate and 550 nits peak brightness. The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3 and includes a punch-hole cutout for an 8 MP front camera.

Powering the M7 Plus is the Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 SoC, combined with up to 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage. A microSD card slot allows storage expansion up to 2TB.

The rear camera system includes a 50 MP main sensor alongside an unspecified secondary sensor. Software features include AI Dynamic Shot, AI Eraser, and AI Sky Replacement. The device runs HyperOS based on Android 15 and is set to receive two major OS updates and four years of security patches. It also includes Google Gemini integration.

Other features include an IP64 rating, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, an IR blaster, and a weight of 217 grams. The Poco M7 Plus 5G is available in Aqua Blue, Carbon Black, and Chrome Silver. Pricing begins at INR 13,999 ($160) for the 6 GB/128 GB model, with the 8 GB/128 GB variant priced at INR 14,999 ($170). Sales begin on August 19 in India.
