macOS Tahoe removes the Launchpad feature and introduces a new Applications interface, modeled after the App Library found on iPhone and iPad.

The Applications view organizes apps into categories such as Utilities, Productivity and Finance, Social, Creativity, Information and Reading, Entertainment, and Other. A Suggested section appears at the top.

This change is part of a broader overhaul of Spotlight, which now includes Browse Modes for navigating different system elements using keyboard shortcuts:
- Command + 1: Applications
- Command + 2: Files
- Command + 3: Actions
- Command + 4: Clipboard
Actions allow direct execution of tasks from Spotlight, such as sending messages or starting timers. Clipboard opens a history view of copied content, including text and images.
The Applications interface defaults to a tiled category layout, but it also supports list views by category or name, and an alphabetical tiled layout.
