JBL Announces Sense Pro Open-Ear TWS Earbuds with Advanced Features

Alongside the Soundgear Clips, JBL has introduced the Sense Pro, a new pair of open-ear true wireless earbuds. Featuring an over-ear hook design similar to the Powerbeats Pro 2, the Sense Pro is positioned as a higher-end offering with additional features.

Available in Gray, Blue, Purple, White, and Black, the earbuds use adjustable titanium alloy split-hooks designed to accommodate different ear shapes while evenly distributing weight to reduce pressure on the ear canal. The earbuds are IP54-rated for dust and water resistance.

The Sense Pro employs JBL’s OpenSound with air conduction technology to deliver an immersive audio experience. Each earbud is equipped with a 16.2 mm diamond-like carbon driver, which is claimed to offer faster response, improved bass, and reduced distortion. Adaptive Bass Boost, also found in the Soundgear Clips, further enhances low-frequency performance.

Additional features include Hi-Res Audio Wireless certification, LDAC support, and spatial audio—capabilities not present in the Soundgear Clips. The earbuds feature four microphones and a voice pickup sensor designed to ensure call clarity in noisy or windy environments. Real-time AI noise reduction further improves voice quality.

The Sense Pro supports Bluetooth 6.0 with Bluetooth Multipoint, Google Fast Pair, and integration with the JBL Headphones app. Through the app, users can adjust audio settings, enable spatial audio, create personalized sound profiles, and customize touch controls. The earbuds also support mono use.

Battery life is rated at 8 hours per charge, with up to 38 hours total using the charging case—six hours more than the Soundgear Clips. Fast charging provides up to 4 hours of playback in 10 minutes. The case supports both wired and wireless charging.

The JBL Sense Pro is scheduled for release in October.
