RugOne Debuts at IFA with Xever 7 Series Rugged Phones Featuring Swappable Batteries

RugOne, a new rugged phone brand incubated by Ulefone, will debut at IFA.

The name combines “Rugged” and “Top One.” RugOne will target demand for durable, sustainable, and repairable outdoor technology, drawing on Ulefone’s manufacturing expertise and supply chain. The brand’s stated aim is to produce high-quality, long-lasting products with reduced environmental impact.

Its slogan, “To Be Bold,” reflects its ambition to innovate in the outdoor communication sector. RugOne will debut with the Xever 7 series, consisting of two smartphones: Xever 7 and Xever 7 Pro.

The Xever 7 Pro will feature the Dimensity 7025 SoC, 12GB LPDDR5 RAM, and 512GB UFS 3.1 storage expandable up to 2TB via microSD. It will ship with Android 15 and receive OS upgrades through Android 18.

The device will have a 6.67-inch 120Hz FullHD+ AMOLED display with 2,200-nit peak brightness. A 32MP selfie camera (GalaxyCore GC32E1) will be housed in a punch-hole cutout. The rear setup will include a 50MP primary camera (Samsung ISOCELL GN9, OIS), a 64MP NightVision camera (OmniVision OV64B), and a FLIR thermal sensor.

Power will come from a 5,500 mAh battery supporting 33W wired charging via USB-C, 18W charging through a pogo pin dock, and 10W reverse wired charging. The device will support battery swapping without powering down, enabled by an 80 mAh mini backup cell providing three minutes of runtime with an on-screen countdown. The package will include two 5,500 mAh batteries, an additional cover, and optional custom covers.

Additional features include eSIM support (carrier- and region-dependent), a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, a shortcut key, a 3.5mm headphone jack, a glare flashlight, IP68/IP69K ratings, and MIL-STD-810H certification. The phone will be available in black and a Camo Edition.

The RugOne Xever 7 will share the same specifications as the Xever 7 Pro but without the thermal imaging capability. Pricing and availability details will be announced at IFA.
